Growth spurt · Around 12–15 weeks
The 3-month growth spurt
Cluster feeding can return around 12–15 weeks. Extra milk now, a little growth soon after.

From our home
The 3-month growth spurt often sits next to Leap 3. Baby may cluster feed, especially in the evening, and sleep can bounce around. That usually settles after a few days.
What to expect
- Cluster feeding, little and often.
- A hungrier, fussier few days.
- Then a slightly longer stretch or a small growth burst.
What can help
- Feed when baby asks, then watch nappies and comfort.
- Keep evenings simple.
- Speak to your clinic if feeding hurts, baby is hard to wake, or wet nappies drop.
