From our home
The Wonder Weeks calls this events. In simple terms, your baby is noticing short changes, such as a rattle moving and making a sound. Reaching to grab a wanted toy usually comes later.
What to expect
- Looking at their hands with interest.
- Swinging an arm towards a nearby toy.
- Holding a toy when you place it in their hand.
What can help
- Move one toy slowly so they can watch it.
- Place a safe toy close enough to swing towards.
- Do not expect an accurate reach or grab yet.
