Signs your baby is getting ready to roll
Rocking, turning onto one side and pushing up are signs that your baby is building strength to roll.

From our home
Rolling usually grows from smaller movements. Your baby may practise the same turn many times before a full roll happens.
Signs baby may be ready
- Rocking from side to side.
- Pushing up on their hands during tummy time.
- Turning or leaning onto one side to look at a toy.
How to help
- Give safe, supervised tummy time while baby is awake.
- Place a toy slightly to one side so baby can turn towards it.
- Never leave baby alone on a bed or changing table.
- Stop swaddling as soon as baby shows signs of trying to roll.
